Sheltered workshops
There are four sites around Greenville County. At each site, consumers receive adult development, pre-vocational, and vocational training in a variety of settings. Adult development aims at developing, maintaining, and increasing the consumer’s performance in daily living skills, physical coordination and dexterity, cognitive skills, social relationships, and communication skills. Pre-vocational and vocational skills are taught while consumers receive training incentive wages for work performed.
Enclaves / Mobile Work Crews
This includes work performed outside the workshop in various plants and businesses across the county.
Supported Employment
Supported employment offers job readiness assessment and training, job search, and on-the-job support to consumers who qualify.
Individual
Rehabilitation Support
This service provides intervention and assistance designed to enhance
the capacity for community living and thus reduces the degree of impairment
and/or dependency. Support and training activities are provided in
the consumer’s home, natural environments, and other community
locations. These supports include banking skills, cooking, cleaning,
and social activities.
The Hollis Center
The Hollis Center is a child development center that operates year round and serves children from birth to five years of age. The staff members at the center work with families to assess the needs of the child and provide training to meet those needs. The emphasis is on social, emotional, intellectual development and self-help skills, and motor skills. The center also provides day care to special needs children in an integrated setting.
The HASCI Center
A resource and drop-in center for HASCI consumers who participate in activities such as computer lab, work trial training, support groups, and individual and group training in activities that promote community living skills, independence, social skills and good health practices. The Center also provides Rehabilitation Supports, Service Coordination, and Supported Employment.
